From our side of the Himalaya, two Indias are natural companions to a Nepal journey: the golden triangle of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur — the Mughal and Rajput heartland — and the Himalayan east, where Darjeeling's tea gardens and toy train run beneath Kanchenjunga on the Sikkim border.
