Trip overview

The journey

The helicopter journey compresses the greatest mountain landscape on earth into a single unforgettable morning. Lifting off from Kathmandu at first light, you follow the trekking route up the Dudh Koshi in minutes rather than days, refuel in Lukla, and land at Kala Patthar — face to face with Everest — before breakfast on the terrace of the Hotel Everest View.

Landings and timings are always confirmed by the operator on the day, according to weather and safe altitude limits.

Trip highlights

  • Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and the Khumbu Icefall from the air

Ama Dablam Base Camp Trek with Heli Return

This is a scenic and relatively short trek in the Everest (Khumbu) region that takes you to the base of one of the most beautiful mountains in the world — Ama Dablam (6,812 m). Adding a helicopter return eliminates the long walk back, saves time and energy, and offers spectacular aerial views of the Himalayas.
