Trip overview

The journey

Mount Kailash rises alone in far-western Tibet — the axis of the world to Hindus, Buddhists, Jains and Bönpos alike, circled on foot by pilgrims who have walked its 52 km kora for millennia. Our overland route from Kathmandu crosses the border at Kyirong, acclimatises along the shore of holy Lake Manasarovar, and completes the three-day kora over the 5,630 m Dolma La.

This is a journey measured in meaning as much as scenery — physically demanding, logistically remote, and unforgettable.

  • Crossing Dolma La (5,630 m)
  • Sunrise over holy Lake Manasarovar

Traveller reviews

“⭐ 5/5 – A Divine, Safe, and Flawlessly Managed Pilgrimage for Hindu Couples! My spouse and I recently completed our dream pilgrimage to the holy Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar, having started our journey on May 2, 2026. This lifetime spiritual journey was organized by Everest Tour Nepal and personally overseen by Director Navaraj Shrestha. For any Hindu couple, the Kailash Yatra is the ultimate sacred dream, and Navaraj ji’s team turned this dream into an absolutely flawless reality. From our very first inquiry, Director Navaraj Shrestha demonstrated incredible professionalism and warmth. He guided us step-by-step through the visa processing, essential packing lists, and altitude acclimatization tips. His deep experience and personal involvement gave us immense confidence even before the trip began. Traveling as a couple, safety and reliable logistics were our highest priorities. Everest Tour Nepal exceeded our expectations. Even in the most remote areas, they managed to secure comfortable accommodations and served fresh, hygienic, and highly nutritious pure vegetarian meals that kept our energy levels high. The sherpas, guides, and medical support team were outstanding—constantly checking our oxygen levels and health status with genuine care. Witnessing the majesty of Mount Kailash and taking a holy dip in the pristine waters of Lake Manasarovar was a deeply emotional and divine experience. We are fully aware that completing such a physically demanding trek in a harsh environment wouldn't have been this smooth without Navaraj ji's meticulous planning and leadership. If you are a Hindu couple planning to embark on the sacred Kailash Manasarovar Yatra, we highly and unreservedly recommend Everest Tour Nepal and Director Navaraj Shrestha. They treat you like family and ensure your spiritual focus remains uninterrupted. Har Har Mahadev!”
